The doctors all enjoy outdoor sports such as hunting and fishing. They also enjoy golfing and spending time with their families. The doctors always love to hear about your adventures. Indulge them with a great fishing, hunting or vacation story.

Dr. Joe - "I feel very fortunate to be in a great profession that allows me to meet and help great people achieve their goal of a beautiful smile. I hope that you feel at home in our office with the positive atmosphere we strive to create."

Dr. Tom - "I’ve been practicing for over 20 years, and each day I enjoy the interactions I have with all my patients and parents. Over the years I’ve seen many orthodontic trends come and go. It is my desire to help you understand your treatment options and how they apply to your specific treatment goal. I always tell parents that I will treat your child as if they were my own."

Dr. Doug - "One of my greatest joys in orthodontics is communicating with patients and their families. To me, keeping communication open between patients, their families, and our office is important. We use innovative ways to keep in touch, using the Internet, social networking, emails, and text messaging to help stay connected."

Kirkpatrick and Lai Orthodontics has been a family practice since 1960 when Dr. Reuben Kirkpatrick started the practice. In 1986, Dr. Tom Kirkpatrick joined his father in practice followed by Dr. Doug Kirkpatrick in 1993. Six years later, Dr. Joe Lai joined the Kirkpatrick brothers in practice; and the family grows each and every day with our new patients!

Dr. Tom, Dr. Doug, and Dr. Joe all received doctorates from the University of Oklahoma in Dentistry as well as their masters of science in Orthodontics. Each one is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, and the Tulsa County Dental Society. Dr. Tom and Dr. Doug have both served as president of the Tulsa County Dental Society, and all three doctors are past presidents of the Oklahoma Orthodontic Society.

Outside of the office, Dr. Tom, Dr. Doug, and Dr. Joe all enjoy outdoor sports, such as hunting and fishing. They also enjoy golfing and spending time with their families.
