Is there any charge for a consultation?There is no charge for the initial visit or for the records appointment when we take the molds and x-rays of your teeth. What is the typical age when my child should see the orthodontist for the first time?It is suggested that by age 7 the child see an orthodontist. At this point the child's front permanent teeth should be erupting. Will my dental insurance pay for the treatment?Typically your dental insurance will pay for a portion of the treatment and the remainder can be paid in full or by payment plans. There is a discount if the treatment is paid for in full. If the patient needs extractions when do they need to be completed?In most cases it is best to have the extractions completed before beginning treatment. Why extract permanent teeth?In some case it is necessary to extract permanent teeth because there is not enough room in the jaw to accommodate all of the teeth. How long will the treatment take?The length of treatment varies greatly between each patient depending on the severity of the case. Treatment can take anywhere from nine months to thirty months. Am I too old for braces?No, we have many patients who are both parents and/or grandparents of existing or previous patients. What types of braces do you offer?We offer the best on the market metal braces as well as clear braces. Typically the clear braces are only used on adults. Back to top |
